The Atmos KC25S coal gasifier is a manually fed hot water heating boiler for lignite briquettes with a rated heat output of 26 kW. It is suitable for heating systems in family homes, weekend houses, workshops, and similar properties where a solid fuel boiler with coal gasification technology and the additional use of suitable alternative fuels is required.

Technology & Features

The KC25S operates on the principle of downdraft gasification and uses an induced draft fan to support the combustion process. The boiler body is made of welded steel sheet, the lower secondary combustion chamber is lined with ceramic material, and the rotating grate mechanism aids air distribution and ash removal during operation. Control is via an electromechanical control panel with a thermometer, main switch, boiler thermostat, flue gas thermostat, and safety thermostat.

System Integration & Compatibility

Professional integration into the heating system with a suitable return temperature protection system must be planned for operation. The manufacturer's documentation specifies a minimum return temperature of 65 °C and a boiler operating temperature in the range of 80 to 90 °C. The hydraulic design, chimney connection, and safety-related integration should be tailored to the building and the existing heating system.

Installation

Installation must be planned according to the boiler room, flue gas routing, combustion air supply, and hydraulic integration. The mains connection is 230 V / 50 Hz, the return temperature must be secured via a suitable return temperature protection system, and the chimney connection must be matched to the required draft.

Notes

The KC25S is designed for lignite briquettes as the preferred fuel. Dry split logs and wood briquettes can be used as alternative fuel if the specifications for fuel quality, log length, and moisture content are met. Regular cleaning, sufficient chimney draft, and adherence to the prescribed operating and return temperatures are important for stable operation.
